Flex Strut Adds Capacity with New Equipment

WARREN- With support from First Place Bank and a “Regional 166” loan through MVEDC, Flex Strut has purchased new equipment. With the addition of a Roll Machine with Pre-punch, Cantilever Strut Storage Racks, Comblift Material Handling Fork Truck and Kundel Cranes, the company has expanded its capacity to serve new and existing customers.

In business since 1994, the company serves a niche market with specialized engineered applications. Customers include the construction, laboratory, supply house, refrigeration and OEM markets. Flex Strut’s experienced management team includes Dale Gebhardt, Lawrence Mears and Mark Marini.

HUBBARD- Watson’s Towing has re-located to a larger space at 5700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road. The company offers vehicle towing services, including heavy-duty towing for trucks and semis.

Watson’s is owned and operated by James and Susan Watson. The building purchase and renovation was made possible by Farmers Bank and an SBA 504 loan through MVEDC.

WARREN- Dr. Jason Rupeka has moved his physician’s practice to a new, larger space on Market Street in Warren with assistance from Farmers Bank and the Mahoning Valley Industrial Loan Fund through MVEDC.

A Warren native, Dr. Rupeka attended Miami University, Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency at St. Joseph’s and St. Elizabeth’s before opening his practice.

NORTH JACKSON- The Youngstown Commerce Park, 12356 Mahoning Avenue in North Jackson, has a 12,000 square foot building for sale or lease. The pre-engineered steel building includes 18 foot ceilings, exterior and drive-in truck doors, 400 amp electrical service, and a reinforced concrete floor. Glen and Kathleen Zalenski have purchased the building in which their restaurant, Zalenski Family Eatery and Pub, is located. The family/casual dining restaurant includes a pub area and banquet facility. Specializing in American dishes, the restaurant seats 134; the business also offers catering service for up to 300.
